LARSEN HOMESCHOOL BASKETBALL PROGRAM 
“The Homeschool Athlete” 

Larsen Basketball HOMESCHOOL Program provides skill development opportunities for boys and girls (from elementary to high school) through basketball. We focus on communication, fitness, and healthy choices, and we develop each athlete from the inside out! Students who enroll in the Larsen Basketball Home School Program focus not only on skill development but they also gain these key life skills;

To be healthy, children need to be active and they need real social interaction.

Skill Development 

Larsen enhances basketball game IQ by providing the option to participate in a 3v3 development league. 

 

School Credit 

 Parents can choose to use Larsen Basketball as their physical education credit when putting together their transcript. We will also provide materials to include in your students portfolio review including a syllabus, worksheets and more.

Social Skills 

Larsen Basketball develops social skills through speed and agility conditioning and basketball lessons.

Our Program  

You can chose a 8 or 12 week semester. Semesters run August to December and January to May. Classes meet on Wednesdays and Fridays, chose the best day that works for you.

  • How are our programs run?
    Families meet for one and a half hours each week. We spend about 45 minutes doing hands-on basketball drills to enhance individual skills and then spend 45 minutes playing 3v3 or one-sided games to increase game IQ. Parents can choose to use Larsen Basketball and physical education credit when putting together their transcript. We will also provide materials to include in your student's portfolio review including a syllabus, worksheets, and more.
  • How long does each semester run?
    Each semester is 8-12 weeks. Semesters run from August to December and January to May. You can choose either our 8 weeks or 12 weeks program. The 8-week program runs from September 15 to November 15, 2023. The 12-week program runs from September 15 to January 15, 2024.
  • What days are the classes available?
    Wednesdays or Fridays; chose the day that's right for you Location; Boca Raton, FL Wednesdays 10:00a -11:30a (Elementary ) Wednesdays 11:30a - 12:00pm (Middle/High School) Wednesdays 12:30p - 2:00pm (Micro-school/Group Slot Available)* Fridays 10:00a - 11:30p (Elementary) Fridays 11:30a - 12:00p (Middle/High School) Fridays 12:30p - 2p (Microschool/Group Slot - FULL)**
  • When does your next program start?
    The 8-week program starts Sept 15, 2023- Nov 15, 2023. The 12-week program starts September-15 January 15, 2023.
  • What is the deadline to register?
    Early registration ends on July 1st, 2023. Early registration cost; $450 for the 8-week program $550 for the 12-week program Late registration cost; $550 for the 8-week program $650 for the 12-week program
  • How are students grouped?
    We break our classes into age groups: 6 to 11 and 12 to 18. However, we know every kid is different. So if you feel your younger child will fit in with the older group better or prefer to keep your kids together, etc. that is up to each parent.
  • Do students need experience in basketball?
    Absolutely not. Please notify us of your child’s experience in the form attached when you sign up. Our team has decades of experience teaching all levels of basketball. We even coach and train preschoolers!
  • Do students need a basketball?
    Basketballs will be provided for use but students may bring their own too.
  • What do we need to bring to class?
    Please wear proper attire. Shorts, T-shirts, and sneakers. Please do not wear flip-flops, sandals, or any shoe without proper support for athletic sports and movements. ALWAYS BRING A REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE TO STAY HYDRATED!
  • Are there any Volunteer opportunities for students?
    Volunteer opportunities for students ages 16-18. Yes! We are always looking for student leaders. We will train them in coaching. They will also learn how to assist in training groups. Plus, they will earn community service hours and an opportunity to coach in leagues, etc. In addition, those who are committed can be trained to do private lessons and earn a significant income working flexible hours. After School Option 

We are offer an after school option on Thursdays for Basketball Lessons and Game IQ from 4pm to 5:30pm. This class is open to all ages including those who are in homeschool or traditional school. All levels (new to advanced) hoopers are welcome. We also offer 3v3 leagues for those who are interested in competing.
